At Marinelock we are committed to operating with a "Green" philosophy, to protect our Great Lakes and local environment.
- We use all low watt Florescent Bulbs and super-low watt LED bulbs throughout the company.
- Computers, Displays, Printers, and other electronics are set to reduce power to standby mode when not in use.
- We print on recycled paper, and combine packing slips and invoices on one document, packed inside the shipping box.
- We use "fax to email" technology to reduce paper waste, and print only what we really need.
- We reduced our product packaging sizes to eliminate waste, and use fully certified re-cycleable, size engineered and adjustable sized boxes to reduce packing fill.
- When we use packing fill it is either reused from incoming shipments or recovered for reuse from one of our several local gift shops (they always have lots and they give it to us for free! We pass this savings to you!).
- We specify that our electrical power comes from renewable resources.
- We recycle office paper and other recycleable waste, we have reduced our final waste trash bags by over 50%.
- We use environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and cloth cleaning products.
